Our group photo shows 18 kids at our block's annual egg hunt. A small turn-out considering there are now 38 kids on the block! (Of course, six of them are under the age of 5 months.)
It was difficult to persuade Anthony not to eat all the candy in one sitting. I eventually got some of it set aside for later.

Happy Easter!
It was a lovely day. A traditional Easter at our house. Church in the morning, with Sunday School and an egg hunt for Anthony and Richard came into the sanctuary with us. He, of course, slept through the service.
We came home from the farmer's market to discover that the Easter Bunny had come while we were gone. Anthony hunted for eggs in the backyard (4th hunt of the season) and enjoyed his Easter basket. You'll notice that he already has chocolate spots on his shirt!
Anthony's basket included a bunch of bubbles, some books, a prism and a magnet. Richard's was mostly teething toys and a chocolate bunny which he generously shared with Mom and Dad.

Easter Bunny
Anthony told me that it wasn't the REAL Easter Bunny. Yet he still happily visited the bunny and accepted his stuffed chick.
Everyone cooed over the baby. It was a lovely afternoon.

Squeezably Soft
Our neighbor across the street has taken to "borrowing" Richard so she can squeeze him. (Her daughter, Anthony's friend is still cuddly, but her older one is all bones.) Richard is always happy to oblige. He's got a lovely little tummy and seriously chubby thighs. He's still tiny, but the skinny little newborn is but a dim memory. (10 pounds, 5 ounces, for those keeping score.)

Feeding Baby
Anthony was so proud to finally get to feed the baby. Richard even ate a little bit!
I was kind of impressed that he succeeded--Richard isn't a strong eater and Anthony was rather inept.
We were really worried about how Anthony would handle being displaced as an only child. It is going so much better than anyone would have ever imagined. Anthony just dotes on the baby. This morning baby was fussing, I was pretending to sleep, so I asked Anthony to put the binky in baby's mouth. I heard Anthony say "Say Aah". He finally succeeded.

Crystals
Anthony had the opportunity to break open some geodes on a playdate a few weeks ago. For a time those geodes were his prize possessions, he'd sleep with them, carry them everywhere... With his interest in crystals, I decided that maybe some crystal growing was in order.
I helped him make a sugar solution and set it aside to crystallize. I've made better quality crystals in the lab, but Anthony was still pretty impressed with the result.

Two Months Old
Up to 9 lb 1 oz. Richard isn't on the charts yet, but he's 75% adjusted for prematurity. He's still on the high calorie (and high price) preemie formula. He's definitely a bit porky, if tiny. He has all sorts of lovely rolls of fat. He also has reached a small milestone--at night he will often go 4 hours between meals!
The picture doesn't do the outfit justice. Its a little owl costume, complete with wings. Its the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Now that its staying light late, we play outside until dinner. Its still pretty chilly, so I dress Richard in his owl suit. (Thank you Aunt Julie!)
