Train Day

Saturday was cold and rainy. A perfect day for "Train Day". We read "This Little Engine that Could" and then went for a train ride to Redwood City to have lunch with Anthony's pal Jack. The plan was good, but it was cold and wet walking downtown from the train station.

We came home to hot chocolate, which Anthony rejected and a gingerbread train to decorate. Anthony really liked decorating his train, especially licking the frosting off and eating the candy.

A note: the train was a hand-me-down from a neighbor who didn't use it at Christmas. I was generally unimpressed with the frosting that came with the kit. It was both too thick to spread easily and not quite sticky enough. Oh well, Anthony was happy with it.
